about moving on
I was really hurt I must say,
It sad it had to end that way.
I'm not who I used to be,
I'm better now can't you see.
I've dealt with all my past fears,
I am ready now for the upcoming years.
I have battled all my past regrets,
Now my heart is healed, there are no more upsets.
You may have one the battle but I won the war,
No longer is my heart tore.
I have grown from your mistake,
I have dignity, and that you could never take.
You go and try to bring me down,
You'll just look like a pathetic clown.
You have nothing to offer me anymore,
No longer am I angry, nor is my heart sore.
For I no longer can see your face,
I put your past ghost back in its place.
The fire in my heart is back at new heights,
Finally I can reach for the lights.
The darkness has now been defeated,
So now my heartache no longer needs treated.
So cheers to who I am becoming and who I will be,
So goodbye to you demons, I am now set free.
