This is a poem that talks about how that an addiction can take over your life.
Dear Friend,

I'll take you
Brake You
Grind you into dust

I'll use you
Bruise you
And you never make a fuss

You're mine for the taking
And I take you as I please
All through your life you'll be begging on your knees.

Why don't you just admit it?
I've got you by the throat
All I ask of you is to try not to choke

You're just so pathetic
Why do I waste my time?
Despite all your screaming I know that you'll be mine.

Your story,
Your friend,
Your live,
Your god,
I've surrounded you by a great white fog.

I am forever grateful for your service and praise
Your eyes filmed over with a dark black haze.

Your mother, sister, brother, father, friend
You've promised to love me till the very very end

Even in death I'll stand by your grave
Watching your family gravel and cave

"Oh why, Oh why did this have to be?"
I'll tell you the reason
It's all because of me.

                                                                     Sincerely,
                                                                               Your Addiction
