yellow grimy light
As our shadows crept slowly
Towards our feet,
We walked into its yellow pool.
A cone of light,
Highlighted by snow,
Issued forth
From its radiant eye.
Don't look at its eye.
It obscures the Blood red moon,
Crowds out the winking stars.
The only thing on this street
That does not change,
Its silver, metal neck
Stretching up eternally.
But all of this is lost to us
As we stride from it's luminous eye,
Holding hands.
