My first poem.
I expected your eyes not to roam.
I expected you to come straight home.
I never expected to be so alone.
I expected you to love me on your own.

Instead I forced your hand.
And still I had such big plans.
I cried and begged before making a stand!
4 innocent hearts later you became a good man.

Was I expected to lay in wait?
What did you Expect???  Fate???
Your expectations come too late.

You think you have the perfect mate.
Housework...Homework...and Supper before eight.
Wifely duties--Quickly before the kids wake!

You lay your heart out for me to take.
After all these years, you now want to partake.

For you...I give you my Expectations.
They once were great.

Before you turned my love to hate.
