WHEN

I sit here, alone
With nothing but my thoughts
to occupy this dead silence
I wonder when.
When will the tender flower bloom?
When will the trees ignite with autumns rage?
When will she know how deep my love burns for her?
This love burns deep from within,
Like a blazing inferno raging out of control.
Worry not, this fire
It doesn't hurt, it feels exquisite
Like silk on bare flesh.
When will she know that I yearn for her touch?
To hold her in my arms forever.
To kiss her sweet lips.
I feel this every time I gaze upon her beautiful face.
Or hear her soft, loving voice.
When will I tell her?
How will I tell her?
I want the tremendous pain and loss she has felt
To disappear in a flourish of happiness and joy.
.When, oh when, will she know.
