A poem about fearing the night, and what your imagination does when scared.

What do you fear the most?

The night is as black as your closed eyes
Winds blowing softly yet briskly through your skin
The fear of falling is becoming reality
Grab on to whatever you can, for you are being eaten alive by the earth
Your hope is to be spit back out, but fear another taste of rejection
Grip your blanket with solid, white fists
Soon the terror will disappear.
