Yet another dig at modern society.
Where is beauty?

There's an age old saying,
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

But for some people I feel this has changed.
Beauty is in the eye of a glossy magazine,
That tells people how they should look
And what they should wear - if anything,
That's obscene.
Not beautiful.

We've turned the cult of celebrity
Into a new church,
We've turned the gossip columns
Into our new Holy Books
And we've besmirched
What beauty really is.

So where is beauty?
Well it's for you to decide,
But I beg you, please,
Don't think because they're on a front cover,
Stick-thin and bikini-clad while poolside,
That that's the life you think you have to lead.
