Where Did The Time Go


Where did the time go?
asks the face in the mirror,
wistfully praying that youth reappears.

Where did the time go?
I wonder and fret
over all of the things I haven't done yet.

Where did the time go?
my lips softly breath,
as a new little one clutches my sleeve.

Where did the time go?
I now understand
into sparkling blue eyes and soft tiny hands.
