true experiences of the divinity in us
Divinity

She was there
Right there
Yet she was said to be
  'No more'
I saw her and I am sure she saw me
Though her eyes were closed

I know she felt my pain
She saw me cry
though she could not speak,
yet I heard her in my head

She knew she had died
Her body laid there
but she could not make it move

Then in the evening
I felt her presence
In her astral body
She moved freely
and talked to me normally

I could understand her needs
She expressed them clearly
How she felt
Leaving us all
Though she was ready
For her onward journey
She was also sad
That her time with us
as our mother
was over

I could tell
That she understood
Why it must be so
Why she has to go

People said she was no more
That she was gone
Who was gone?
Her feelings and fears
Her love for us all
Were right there

Mysterious Death
You are a Mystery
no more
for though
you seemingly
took her away
and no word of goodbye
could we say

But She, our mother
came back to me
laughing at your attempted
finity

Perhaps just a day or two
after
I saw her appear
out of thin air
Calm and steady
Peaceful and divine
Glorious in her golden saree
just outside her prayer room

She stood tall and strong
healthy and beautiful
Her hair done perfectly
just as she loved them to be
In a golden aura
Woven of threads divine
She stood waiting there

I watched
and gazed in wonder
from a little afar
by the sitting room door

Next I saw
my dad come
and head for the prayer room
but he walked right past her
though he knew she was there
his gaze averted
head held low
looking at the floor
deliberately avoiding her

She spoke to me then
Looked at me without turning her head
and said-
Tell your dad to talk to me
He is angry
that I left him and went.

Another night I saw
She stood in our hall
She is in a blue heavenly dress
she looks intently at my dad
sleeping on the side of the bed
where she used to
lie most of the time

Her gaze is focused
kindly and divine
it's as though she is giving strength
to him
and watching to see
if he is alright

Another night
in her pink glorious saree
I saw her in the dining room
I smile and run to her
Oh Ma! You have come!
As though she had merely gone
on a pilgrimage
and now she was back
where she belonged

And to this day
a year and few months gone
it is the same for me
Mom I know
is with me still
Even stronger and more able
than she ever was.

"The Lord said- O Arjuna!
All beings are invisible in the beginning
And at the end become invisible again
Only in the middle are they manifest as bodies
Then why weep for this situation
which is unavoidable?"
