This poem expresses the grief of someone who has been through life's difficulties.
Pouring Out

What I feel inside
Gets the night to sympathize
Heaven's affluence behind the clouds
Is out of sight
The breeze lost,
It's touch so tender
Leaves sway without rhythm and grace
Clouds of imminent rain
Hover over...
Darkness envelops the night
Creeping through my wounded self
Then, rain pouring down heavily.

I'd been to this
So many times before
Never did I succumb
Nor let myself down
My desperate soul
Found solace
To the unyielding spirit of a survivor
Yet, this one puts too much toll on me
Muffling any clamor to break free,
Gnawing every grain of hope left in me.

Why do I have to suffer?
Why do I have to bear?
Am I a victim of future's promises,
Or a castaway in the world of success?
Time tell me where lies my destiny?
Where's the horizon this tumult is leading me?
