A place in ourselves that we have all visited, the bridge of dreams.
I have traveled far
Across these lands
And now I come upon my goal
My path to beyond
The only path that I trust
And I stand and confront the great bridge
The bridge of dreams
The bridge that so many have come upon
And I think
My path to beyond, the bridge of dreams
And so I embark
It is like no other journey
With each step, I am liberated
With each breath in, I draw the energy of every pure soul
With each breath out, I send all my love to anyone who wants it
With each swing of my forearms, I press against the wind
And so I see the end, shrouded in a grey mist
My vision grows hazy, I lose control
The great bridge suddenly gives way
I find myself far below, forever unable to reach the end
And so I begin to explore, this foggy foul place
And as I travel I find a man, old and wise
He brings me in and makes my life clear
And so I go on to live out my life
Never forgetting about the bridge of dreams
And then one day, as I sit and enjoy my existence
I decide I will go back to that old man
To make my life clearer
He welcomes me with a warming smile and asks why I have returned
And so I asked him, "please, I need to know, where does that bridge end?"
And he, in all his wisdom, gave me an answer I will never forget
"Nowhere"
My path to beyond, the bridge of dreams
