you never knew the girl i was
It just seems that you have forgotten me. I know who I am and who I used to be. I was that girl who was loud and out there. I was that girl who was always there. I was that girl who was poor but acted like I wasn't. I was that girl who thought she was smart. I was that girl who was confident in everything. I was that girl who wanted to scream.
I was that girl who wanted attention from everyone. I was that girl who tried everything once. I was that girl who seemed in control. But none of you bothered to see who I really was. I was the girl screaming on the inside. Begging for a smile, warmth and love. I wanted help to sort out the things but none of you would listen to unpleasant things. I needed a true friend but all I found was the emptyness of you all. The cool metal answers to the call of the pain. My tears are silent as they fall. The redness drips down my arms and legs. The marks are covered to not show my pain. I hide it well but now you know. I'm the girl who you'll never know
