Reaquainted with a man I lived with when I was 26. Where will things will go now?
Time has not passed in my mind;
today feels as yesterday.
cottage, laugh, breeze, bedroom.

A few concerts and travel, hitchhike or not;
together for fun a temporary habit.
wide-eyed, confused, rebellious, selfish.

The Basics are there my memory is clear;
sedation and drugs with friends and lovers.
beach, golf, work, fire, leave.

Were there feelings then? or even a thought?
never given consideration? or even hidden?
kiss, sex, summer, comfort, time.

Could be coincidence, fate or just another day;
on-line introductions and lonely mates.
you? me? us? remember?

We have grown to adults, presumably wiser, stronger;
give and take, and learn from our mistakes.
talk, think, discuss, care, respect, open.

Today is not over, there's more to come;
patience and divorce and understanding and .... wait.
pain, help, love, stay, go, reality.

One day at a time, a familiar cliché;
enjoy life, enjoy each other, enjoy the time
hurt, love, stop, start, end, beginning
