a random poem i wrote about there always being some ounce of hope in every situation
Oh dark, dark Night, hear my prayers!
the Moon shining high cannot calm my fears.
The whistle of the Wind, so uninviting to me
So many other places, where I'd rather be.

Oh deep, deep Forrest, listen to me weep!
I fear I am lost; Oh dreaded heap!
No warmth, nor food, not knowing the way out
wondering what to do; whether to remain silent or to shout.

Oh evil, evil Soul let go of my Heart!
let me leave these woods, let me now depart.
The sound of a River rushing far, far away
leading off to somewhere, a large, lovely Bay.
