Deeper symbolism of nature.
Orange crystals and red gems are strewn
Across angry remnants of the sky,
Someone didn’t want them and they were tossed
Into the early hours of our life.

I reach out slowly to
Touch, to feel, to embrace the abandoned treasure,
They fall with grace between my fingers,
As the moon swallows them forever.

Destiny played no part in my fixation;
My lust for sapphire dreams.
All things abnormal that rummage through the night,
All things beautiful, torn at the seams.

A bleeding sky is my abstract drug,
Inhaling rings and shapes of clouds.
The addiction treads softly on my lips,
The song’s never sung too loud.

I will immortalize this infinite sight,
Bury them deep in my ever folding mind.
It’s the only way to grasp,
The ever fading beauty of mankind.

You can lie and gaze with me
If I can place my lips to your ear
And tell you of magical seconds,
That feel more like magical years.
