A love poem to Mary
MADRIGAL

The wind blows cool and clean from the stars,
I bow my head in prayer.
Soft and gentle is the caress of Her hand,
I cast away all of my care.
To be free in Her Love
To be one with Her Pain
Like the flight of a dove
To Her heart I would gain.
Then, o, then, I would sacrifice all,
And in Her loving embrace would remain.
