A poem of a romantic woman in a rushed, non-loving world
Despair

Why clean the mess?
Only to have a bigger one tomorow...
What's the point of making it right? Its going to be wrong tomorow...
Too sweet for reality
Too romantic for truth
Help me take the pain away...
Teach me your ways of immortality

Is it wrong to love the darkness?
Is it wrong to want to be with you?
Take my soul away from this personal hell
Teach me the ways of immortality

Frantic and alone, this is who I am
Keep me in your castle
Save me from this pain
Take me to the place I used to love

Wings of glass and skin of porcelain
Fragile to my deepest core
My soul only rests in shadows...
Take me to your castle of protection

My heart becomes yours,
If my soul you wish to keep
Take me to the place of my childhood dreams
Where I played in shadows,
Bathed in despair

Loved only by the dolls...
That take my dreams to you

Saved only by the sadness
That I knew so well

Lace and ribbons
Bathed in sweet blood

Darkness becomes you,
You have said to me
But what do you love about me?

The black feathers
That signify our pennance?
The single black ribbon
That adorns my collar,
a solitary sign of my link to you?
Or the shapes in my dress,
Meant for your pleasure?

The stroke of a pen on paper
To tell the truth
To face reality
To clean the mess I've made...

I have failed not you,
But myself
I havent been wrong
To love you so deeply
But I have exceled at all
And failed at life
Now I will make it right
