emotional poetry
It's all right. Don't mind me.
I don't really need to see you,
Be with you.

But it would've been nice.

You're busy, I know,
With work, and family.
Always on the go.

Not enough time left for me.

I drove a long way, but it's okay.
I have plenty of my own folks to see,
And plenty of things to do.

I just didn't know I'd be doing them
        so without you.

I thought for while, I'd get a reprieve
From being alone in a crowd,
That I'd be able to breathe.

I was wrong.

But don't you worry. I understand.
It's all right. No problem at all.
I didn't expect you to answer the phone,
        return my call...

But I had hoped.

I'm back home now, across a thousand miles.
Back to the routines of the day.
It's easier to miss you from here,
Than from only five miles away.
