Break up pain

Sudden heartache not expected,
Hits me like stabbing through my heart,
Over and over and over,

These tears fall down hour after hour,
They don't seem to stop,
A continuous trickling down my cheek.

The reason sent through text message,
The reason pathetic,
Not good enough.

The feelings I felt were strong,
The feelings made me see a future,
A future that now ceases to exist.

Much more than my friend,
Simply friendship now seems hard,
Pain and agony in taking two steps back.

Denial in being without you,
It is hard to sink in,

I try to concentrate on what is happening now,
But instead I'm focused on what might have been.
