Work in progress. The mirror poem to Angel on the Beach.
Cast down to earth,
an angel fallen.
Wings sheared away
she lies on the beach.
Eyes closed, body resting.

Was her sin unimaginable?
Did others forsake her?

Peacefully she lies there,
her pain masked by a smile.
She draws closer to the beach
warmed by the sands.
Longing for the peace sleep brings her
she falls deeper into it.
A smile still hides her past.

Does she hurt like in the beginning?
What can a mortal do in her pain?
Stand back and let it drain her?
I think not!

Yet what can one do?
Listen?
See for her?
Color her sky with words?

Does she feel the sun on her?
Does she feel within her?
Is her future uncertain?

Does she dread the never ending
day called life in front of her?

She must feel something
as she smiles in her sleep.
