im no good at descriptions. but if you like love stories then this is for you.
This moment could be perfect, but there's something on my mind. sitting in the
corner but tugging at my conciousness. the water rushes up and swirls around our
feet, which have been leaving two sets of footprints in the soft, white sand.
something in the way his hand clasps mine just isn't right. i slip it out of his
grasp and walk around to the front of him and turn to stare into his perfect
face. his eyes lock into mine and i slowly begin to melt. as the sun begins to
set into the water beind us i step closer, reaching up to wrap my arms around
his neck. he leans in and presses his forhead against mine, and the thing inside
my mind explodes. just like i had been smacked in the face, i realize the truth. i was in love with him. i moved
my head to his shoulder and closed my eyes while we stood there. absorbing the
moment. there was something i wanted to ask him. i turned my head and whispered
into his ear, 'do you love me?' he held on to me a little longer, then turned
his hea d and gazed in to my eyes."yes, i do. and i always will. forever." he
smiled and i returned the favor. i whispered "i love you to." he let go of me
then, and ran. i wached him for a second, splashing through the water adn
kicking up sand, then i ran after him, feeling the cool ocean breeze weave its
way through my hair. i caught up to him and jumped into his arms. he was so
beautiful. inside and out. and he was mine. and here, in the sand by the ocean,
with he water tasting our feet and the sun casting golden rays across the deep
blue, he sat me down and ran his fingers over my eyes, closing them. "i want to
show you something", he said into my ear. i nodded and he lifted me again. i
rested my head against his broad chest. i felt safe, and i felt happy. finally he put
me down lightly and said "open". we were sitting directly in front of the sun,
which had a sliver of light shining on us, and to me it seemed like only us. but
the most beautiful thing the sun did, or would ever to, w as touch the ring in
his hand. it shattered the light of the sun that had been captured inside of it
and shone like a million suns, sparkling like a beacon in between us. my breath
caught in my throat. it was so beautiful. i looked up at him and his smile
nearly out shone the ring. he said quietly, " do we need words?" i whispered
back, "do we ever?" he slipped the magnificent diamond onto my finger, forever
bonding us together, and then he kissed me. long and soft. unlike any other kiss
in the world. before i knew it we were dancing. there was no music, we needed
none. this was our favorite song. and as the sun finally set behind us, so did a
chapte of our lives, a chapter of being alone. because from here on out, no matter what we did, we were in this together.
