how we talk too much without much meaning
                                        Too Many Words Spoken

I was talking one day with a loved one-
Too many words spoken

We sat for hours no silence could pass with all the words that were spoken
If I could of written them down would they have made any sense or had
any impact on the world around us
Too many words spoken

As we spoke to one another it seemed as if no one listened between the
two of us-
When too many words are spoken

It seemed like time stood still with all these words bouncing off each other,
as if there were too many words for time to even pass through them
Was it a conversation or just idle chat-maybe nervous energy these many
words spoken-

Then it occured to me later that day, time is too short not to share fewer words,
words that need to be spoken!

If that was our last day together on earth how much better it would of been to
had fewer words spoken with more meaning than just filling up time.

With fewer words spoken you could really tell the person more meaningful
things, not just filling up time with many words spoken of nothing.

I would rather spend time in silence with the one I love than to speak meaningless,
non-remembered words of half truths.

Too many words spoken can get diluted.  So I will spend more time cherishing
our alone time with less, but more precious words spoken.
