Staring at It
I see my face
Something is on the other side
I felt Its presence
However
Faceless
Voiceless
Nevertheless
It Exists

I reach out my hand to touch It
I feel nothing
So near
Yet
So far

My heart yearns for It
But I cannot obtain It
It is beyond my reach
I pull my hand back to myself

I pounded my fists upon the fragile glass that separates me from It
The glass did not break
Again and again
To no avail

I placed my back against the glass
Tears flowing down my cheek
Hot tears of frustration
Sadness
Uncontrollable
Silently
My hands on my face
Hiding my tears
From everyone
The world

I can only see myself
Alone
But I feel Its presence
Comforting me
Strengthening me
I stopped crying

I am going to be strong

I stood up slowly
The back of my hands wiping away my cold tears
It encourages me
It said, Everything To Its Time
The waves of sadness within me
Recedes a little
The pain in my heart
Lessens a little

I lifted my eyes
Towards the fragile glass
The thin plane of glass
That separates me from It
My soul wants to reach to It
Unable

I placed my palms upon the glass
My forehead against the cold glass
My heart wishing and yearning
To cross to the Other Side

I felt a warmness against my palms
It is not from the glass
It is from It
