A mello poem/song about the Lazy River at Wet'n Wild.
Far, far away
you may lay
in a lazy, lazy river.
At every entrance I shiver;
and like an archer's quiver
death it can deliver.
My hands can't grip,
my feet slip,
let me tell ya, it ain't a trip
but it's definitely worth a dip.

The Lazy River
will take you away
like a wooden sliver
that the Wind takes your way.
The water appears silver,
a place of great play
it asks you hither
and as you lay
it will serenely slither.

Did you write the book of streams?
O! strawberries'n cream
isn't at all lean,
and don't be mean,
just get in,
only you, can win.
Don't give in to your parents
for they charge too much for rent!
The priest shall repent
and then it's to the house of pent.
you have your chance,
so teach me how to dance
so freely,
so rebelliously,
that I'll be free,
that I'll be me.

The Lazy River
will take you away
like a silver sliver
that the Wind takes my way.
The water appears silver,
a place of grand play
it asks you hither
and as you lay
it will serenely slither.

Now for ten hours we've been on our own
and look! There goes a rollin' stone!
monolade skies,
kaleidoscope eyes,
American pies,
castles in the air,
and empty chairs,
all are aware
of the care undertaken at the river
that makes me shiver.

The Lazy River
will take you away
like a golden sliver
that the Wind takes their way.
The water appears silver,
a place of amazing play
it asks you hither
and as you lay
it will serenely slither.

Helter skelter
the men made haste towards shelter
to evade the hot, summer swelter.
Time now it is to make haste
towards the watery waste.
Worry not,
for though it's hot
the river is as cool
as an arctic pool;
flowing softly,
swimming quietly,
on that lazy river
that makes me quiver.

The Lazy River
will take you away
like a iron sliver
that the Wind takes our way.
The water appears silver,
a place of exceptional play
it asks you hither
and as you lay
it will serenely slither.

O! and there we were all in one place,
a generation lost in this space.
Blowin' in the wind,
I hit my shin
and I fail to win,
for the times, they are a'changin!
He looked dead
and was heavy as lead.
And as she sped
away they lead
her to a river-bend!

The Lazy River
will take you away
like a emerald sliver
that the Wind takes his way.
The water appears silver,
a place of punctual play
it asks you hither
and as you lay
it will serenely slither.

I met a girl who sang folk
and I bought her a coke
and in her a beast I awoke.
She swam to and fro
her hair looked like and afro!
I walked down to the river,
the one that made me shiver and quiver,
but the man there said the river had died.
And on the river bank lovers cried,
poets dreamed,
and children screamed,
but words not were spoken.
Hearts were broken,
torn asunder.
Minds were set to wonder,
to ponder
about that lazy, lazy river
the river that made me shiver.

The Lazy River
will take you away
like a diamond sliver
that the Wind takes God's way.
The water appears silver,
a place of harmonious play
it asks you hither
and as you lay
it will serenely slither.

With their wide wings,
The birds were a'singin':

"The Lazy River
will take you away
like a diamond sliver
that the Wind takes God's way.
The water appears silver,
a place of harmonious play
it asks you hither
and as you lay
it will serenely slither."
