A vampire poem.
Damned

Her auburn hair was flowing through the wind
Her hazel eyes enhancing her beauty
Softest of skin, reddest of lips.
The very incarnation of Love’s child
Beauty
The very opposition of my fate
Innocence

The desolate paths welcome her presence
Echoing her rapid footsteps.
Coldest of nights, bleakest of streets
A new emotion consumes her
Fear
A single thought occurs to her
Run

She attempts to flee in desperation
Her swiftness is no match for mine
Smallest of tears, Sharpest of breaths
She feels now but one sentiment
Pain
She expects now merely the obvious
Death

My mind floods with a new design
Blood oozes from my open wrist
Purest of drinks, cruelest of deeds
Her body dies and awaits the result
Rebirth
She will soon acquire pristine talents
Strengths

Her visage becomes as pale as mine
Her hazel eyes all that remains alive
Sternest of stares, greatest of cadavers
I know the reasoning behind my deed
Pity
She is now just like me
Damned
