A different look at Hate, an unpredictable emotion.
HATING LOVERS

They ask me why I do not love,
I tell them so that I can hate.
So they call me names many,
never looking back at me.

I might have flinched, if I had loved,
their taunts piercing my heart.
Tears might have threatened
to pool in these eyes.

But since I hate(good thing too)
I do not feel a thing.
No expression across this face
except a slight, cruel grin.

I would tell them a reason true,
but what a waste of time.
Only if I had loved
would I reason with their kind.

Since I do not love,
I can simply walk away.
Looking ahead, to find
more people I can hate.

They say hate destroys,
Look! I’ve proven them wrong,
I am happy hating them, when
it was love that hurt me so long.

Do not think I’m foolish,
I know the joys of love.
Nothing against love I have,
it is they, the lovers, I do not love.
