About an anorexic/bulimic.
I wrote it a while ago but its close to me right now because a family friend was diagnosed with anorexia. She's also an adult, and I think its important to remind people that not just teens go through it.

...

For reasons so vain
that caused much much pain
left her like a vegetable
self-deprived of fuel
she 'bettered' her body
by doing something naughty
just to be called "hottie"
She made herself grow sick
and soon would be a stick
a stick now uncontrollable
she might never again get full
--besides her blood, which ran thick
on the day her heart had no tick
though brought back by a paramedic
her figure now did not matter
as her heart went pitter-patter
it was back to its old self
but her brain had totally cleaned the shelf
relearning the alphabet and the number line
she also learned that her body is just fine
