A poem that tells of an abandoned child that needs hope
RISE

The blackened smoke of a burning sky smothers the will of this lonely child.
And hope dies,
bleeding from the crystals of cascading ancient eyes.
Eyes that have seen souls blown away with the wind,
these violent winds of plague.
Broken, alone, and thrown to the wolves,
a product of poverty, abandoned of love.

Bury your heart deep inside child,
wipe the tears from your eyes.
Choke the life from the pain inside,
and fuel the fire.
Let it burn you a path.
Get up and clean your wounds,
you've got throats to slit and bones to break,
hands to shake and dreams to chase,
and murder this monster called fear...open your heart to the worthy,
never live a lie,
you will rise child, you will rise.
