You may be in love with how you see someone rather than with who they really are.
So the thought of me,
of 'we',
never crosses your mind?
Your heart does not yearn
and look my way?

Should I learn to just turn
and leave it all behind
Move ahead
like you did
and drift far'n away

Was it all just me?
My fantasy?
An illusion that my heart drew
O' so skillfully

Were you never that man
Who lives in my head
that no one can measure up to

Should I thank you for giving a face
to my lovestruck dreams?

Or should I resent you for not being the wonder
that my heart still sees?
