Death, longing for freedom.
His body wanders aimlessly,

On the open plain of sorrow.

Feeling remorse for the things he’s done.

Feeling hate for those who made him do it.

He turns to god,

Who is nowhere to be found.

The one person he was told he could count on,

Turned his back on him.

The people he hurt,

The families he destroyed.

The lives he brought to a halt.

It never sunk in until now.

But the past is the past,

It can’t be changed.

He has to live with the mistakes he’s made.

No god can save him now.

The truth still remains.

No matter how much forgiveness he asks for,

The truth still remains.

No matter how much sympathy he asks for,

The truth still remains.

And the truth will forever remain

As a dark spot on his soul.
