I wrote this on a hot sunny day along the Chao Phrya River in Bangkok
This Moment

Across the river is the Temple of Dawn
the dirty brown river, sparkling with sunbeams
reflected off its pure surface and warming my skin.

I want to capture this moment
imprint it on my heart
in my memory forever.
when I’m old, cold or lonely
I can look back to this day
This day.
The day I sit on the dock of the Chao Phraya River
and stare at the starlight reflected on its surface
and soak in the sunlight
oblivious of the smoke, the poverty and everything.
Who cares
you can never take with a picture
This beauty
of the sun on the water, like diamonds
on my skin, like a kiss
This feeling
of not caring who you are or what you’ve done.

There is a beauty that exists
taking you away from all reality
If you just look,
and open your heart
And capture it,
in your souls camera lens.
