I see a man

I see a man
I see a man broken, clothes tattered and torn, eyes bloodshot red from staying awake all night
Where he walks, words are not spoken, because he is old battered and worn down
Walking dead, because he's to tired to fight
I see a man Who had so much potential and dreams, until it took over
so now
I see man walking past my window, he's cold and death is hanging over his shoulder.
He walks around looking, he swears just one more song and he's finished!
But not a soul around will help, or even listen
The streets are now longer than he remembered it was
He's weary, he's not strong, he has a tired limp and a rough cough
His feet hurt so much. He wont make too far



I see another man standing at a corner, waiting for someone
the night is cold, but he's not bothered, he wont moved until his job is done.
Where he stands words are spoken, but very quickly to get the point across
He listens, does not speak, he doesn't have too hes a self made man and a master at his craft
The 'Tambourine Man' selling a song in a bag
The kids come around and admire him
He doesn't have 2 speak, but the kids still listen
I can tell you, the seductive song, has captured their interest
all they know is the glorified image that they see on TV
but they don't know how evil is that man and is Tambourine
That same seductive song is what the old man looks for
Even when he hears it, he still wants more
and I see that old man, with his clothes tattered, and his poor little limp
Looking for his song, to sing a long with
but that man with his song in the bag, has moved on
He has gotten too familiar too stay so his job is done

Now, when I stare out of my window lost in my little world
I don't see anyone... I don't notice a song... I don't hear a word
Since the 'Tambourine Man' has moved on and took the song in his hand
and for once. in a long time, I don't see the old man.... hmm
