Sometimes my smile is fake. It has become normal to fake my happiness.
Put on clothes; shoes on my feet
Brush hair and teeth - nice and neat
My mornings are routine
I'm an everyday teen
I then put on my face
My pain is now erased
No one ever knew
The hurt I go through
You feel no empathy
Please do not pity me
I lived and I will die
Please do not cry
My friends are not real
A loneliness I feel
It is deep in my heart
It is tearing me apart
You will never truly see
This pain I feel inside of me
