Refining truth

REFINING TRUTH

Much of what we learned
throughout our youth
cannot always be discerned
as the absolute truth

The base of our knowledge
through years gone by
have formed the cutting edge
on what we rely

The choices we made
to find our goal
our for our sake
to preserve our soul

If the truth is not pure
we must then refine
so that we can be sure
we are in the right line

To reach our true purpose
to find our place
to what we suppose
is ours to face

So we look above
to where truth is formed
and with God's love
to this conform
