Moving on from a bad relationship

Whispers



Whispers of love come back to haunt me.

Moments and memories bleed from my soul.

My arms want to hold you

and show I still love you.

My eyes burn with tears as I watch you go home.



And though I may love you through all my tomorrows

there’s no turning back

for your life’s still the same.

You’re still locked in that tower without any staircase

while I’ve left my dungeon and broken the chains.
