A look at Canada's multicultural policy
Multiculturalism

One day absentmindedly
In a manner most offhandedly
Perhaps with even apathy
We decided to live multiculturally

We turned away from cold racism
What need had we of communism
And to avoid heartrending schism
We clasped to our breast multiculturalism

No melting pot similarity
The stress is on diversity
And each and every one is free
To be true to oneself culturally

But at times this multiplicity
If I may say so candidly
May make us all forget that we
Must always interdependent be
