Inspired by my Martha's Vineyard vacation. Each stanza is a haiku.

A plastic blue disc
Sailing through the salty air.
I make a good catch.

The sun's bright rays shine,
Beating on my naked back.
It's hot at the beach.

Girls in bikinis
Amble by me and I stare.
They're hot at the beach.

Rolling, thund'ring waves
Relentlessly slam me down
Onto the soft sand.

Water in my mouth
But I do not care at all.
I am having fun.

Fine grains of sea-sand
Squishing between my toes.
I walk on the beach.

Pages filled with words
Take me away from my chair.
I read at the beach.
