A poem of why we should live for today and not for tomorrow.
Do not live with regrets, so live for today and don't worry about tomorrow.

Because I lived for tomorrow,
I missed the moment of today.
I didn't hear those three simple words.
I didn't stop to cherish the moment,
When you held my hand.
When you pondered over the bridge,
I thought of what we'd do tomorrow.
I missed the butterfly on my head.
I missed your jokes and laughs.
When you kissed my head,
When you held me close,
I missed it all.
Now it's tomorrow,
Years have passed.
A band now wraps around your finger.
She believes the same as you,
She lives for today and not tomorrow.
If only I would have seen life.
If only I would have stopped to ponder,
To see what it was about.
But alas,
I sit here lonely.
Filled with regrets and pain.
Only because I lived for tomorrow,
I missed the moment of today.
