Watching my husband sleep, I wrote this.
I watch you sleep and wonder why
You sleep with such peace, but I sit and cry
The tears roll down my face
Hot, salty gallons I cry
But you sleep
I stay awake and wonder why
You never really see me cry
You are the reason to these tears
How can I love you all these years
Eventhough you caused all my fears
I made a promise to be your wife
I never realized that meant losing my life
When did we lose what we once had?
I remember when it wasn't that bad
I guess my tears never let me see
How little love you have for you and me
The years have come and gone
But the loneliness still lives on
Over the years I guess I just hung on
To what was once, but now is gone.
