When grey above meets grey below
GREY
September 1, 2008

Grey roils up
overhead
in clouds and fog and
rain, and grey
bobs below in hair
and skin and
heart, splashing grey
out of puddles,
off streets,
away from curbs and
cheeks and eyes
like slush
and other memories
with a grey,
foreboding hand and
an equally portentous
foot.
