I wrote this for a friend who was depressed and is now contented.
I can't see a thing in this world
There is no way to breathe
Beneath the black waves of the sea
I am pushed and choked in the swirl

The world is bleak
The world is gray
How to see the light
I can't see the light

Suddenly a cloud parts
A tiny ray of light drops
Down it falls, atop me
Over me, into me, bathing me

A radiating warmth
It's been too long
But not long enough
To cut me

Now I can see
Now I can breathe
I am rising back up
I am alive!

Slowly I realize that the waves
Are not black or gray
They are blue, so beautiful
And I am renewed

I can see now, the shining stars
The midnight moon
Such a perspective
And my worries are so far

I have found life at last
Or maybe it has found me
All that is, is Love
And Light and Joy
