Bloody proud to be an Australian.
When the Olympics are done and dusted,
And our champions return home.
There is a certain thing we all think the same,
And it’s not about “how far we roam.”

It’s “did we beat the Kiwis?
The ones with the long white cloud
Do we have more medals than them?
Did we upset the New Zealand crowd?”

Because it’s that thing we think that keeps us who we are
As long as the Kiwis come second to us, we will go far
‘Cause it’s a matter of pride, it’s a matter of where we stand
‘Cause we don’t care if we win or lose, as long as we beat New Zealand.
