Struggling with acceptance as a gay adult.
I'm gay, yes I am
You don't agree, I know
But I am who I am.

Can't you understand
That I was born this way
God chose me to be gay.

I am no different than anyone else
I still love the same
I still hurt the same
but I still am who I am.

Since the day I was born
God sealed my fate
and into this world I came
a world full of hate.

I can't change how i feel
or change who I am
all I can ask is to accept me as I am.

Would it be easier for me to be like you
or harder for you to be like me?
That's a challenge I want to see
So I'm asking
Just let me, be me.
