It was inspired by a teacher, he told me read a poem in a public place.
I am not alone

On my way to the school I don’t want to go to—his precious words are in my ear

He whispers “you are not alone”

On my way to that dreaded math class,

that calmness that he gives me—I am not alone

On my way to lunch—I hear everyone screaming, I hear cussing and music blaring from speakers in all directions—And though I feel at times like I stand all by myself—MY God stands with me, and I am not alone.

And though I am mocked for my simple laughter and joy—I am not alone

For God is Joyous with me.

When I am on my way home, the sounds of the birds chirping and people yelling—MY God walks along with me

I never have to walk alone

Even in the worst of times—he is there helping me all along the way

I am not alone, for God holds my hand and never lets it go.

He is always with me and this I will forever know.
