a poem i wrote while i was thinking
What am I?
I am one of many creations
A body and soul held together by skin
Perfected by God.
I am human,
A born mistake maker
I was made to stand out, to bring change,
Not to be a cheap imitation of what I see around me
I am not perfect, nor will I ever be,
Nor was I meant to be.
I will be a follower of God
A leader of the lost
And together, maybe we'll see the light.
I will cry, I will smile, I will laugh and complain,
But that's just me, my life's not perfect.
I am one out of millions of people
That tread the Earth, that breathe the air,
That see the sky.
And I am part of a smaller percentage
That feel blessed to have this life.
I am human,
Born a mistake maker
Confused and unsure,
Yet still perfect to God.
