Poem about a hard break up, and trying to forget the memories.
You feel, so real, I know this can't be my mind.
I hear, your voice, you must be there. Call out my name, prove me right.

I know you are here, there's no mistaking you.
But lately it's hard to be sure.
Your skin, like ice, your lips, like blood.
My heart is now down to the core.

The pale, white skin, has left it's ghost. It haunts me so beautifully.
The dim, green eyes, have left their mark. Scorching me blissfully.

How can I know, that you were real.
When you leave me no lasting proof.
The illusion is shattered, piercing glass shards.
How can I be sure it was true.

The reality rings, solely for me. Telling me to move, along.
It whispers lies, I know I despise. They tell me that you are gone.

My mind tells me to get over you.
My heart tells me you're still here.
Should I listen to my trust?
Or give in to rational fear?

I've made up mind, you can't be here.
Your perfection was just to unreal.
