Drip drip drip
Too much candy, mothers say to children,
“Rots your teeth,
Rots your smile,
Rots your soul”,
Leaving blood, sweat and toil.

Cross the road,
Dead green man walking,
That wine gives more relief
Than a Thursday spent in grief.

A & E,
Been on the pull again,
Vodka bottles smashing off walls,
Shots onetwothreefour,
Floor.

Not another drop,
Not even a swig,
Promise, promise,
Sorry, sorry,
Not on your own.

Did it again,
Referred to a specialist,
Drinks don’t work,
A tipple nothing more,
One more time, the floor.

Floor,
Floor,
Floor,
Floor,
Muse.
