A poem about a child talking about his parents splitting up.
Ruptured Tragedy

I'm so angry,
My parents have split.
My mother,
was secluded from the world for all those years,
and at the flick of a switch
she moves on up,
out of the beers and into her fears.
Into that place, where she meets new people, and meets new peers.
Sure, things happen, people move on,
But come on, a month? It didnt take long.
Inspitefull little arguments lead on and they might,
but this time, dad was right.

So, why should he leave?
He's the one getting hurt, the one who can't breathe,
and it hurts us that he trys to hide it,
after 15 years,
it takes more than timing.
It was that very first week he thought a break,
untill mum didnt come home till late.
She was there, yet again,
around at his,
and now hes here
intruding on this
situation.
He's thinking its alright,
when it clearly isn't,
taking up our light.
secluding us.

You dont know how much i want to
Confront him, hurt him, but all this is surreal.
And as I sit here, I think about other families affairs,
and attempt to find problems to compare.
But no, this isn't right, and I cant believe it, surely he knew?
This is so unrealistic,
so untrue.
