Expressing the internal battle that depression forced me to fight.
With pleasure,
why did you hunt me down
to steal me and keep me bound?

With laughter,
why did you hand to me
a door to joy but with no key?

With malice,
why did you cease to care
when what you gave me wasn't fair?

With anger,
why did you always fault
the things I did, the things I loved?

Depression,
look at what you've done wrong,
destroyed my dreams and stole my fun.

Your motive,
I know not of your wants
yet hear me now, I will be blunt.

What you've taken, you can keep
and for my losses, I wont weep.

My life,
It's just exactly that.
You wont ever take it back.
