A simple little poem about nature and the wintertime
In winter the gentle streams
That cut through the forest,
Content beneath
The shade of the sun who hangs above the sleeping trees,
Run across the pebbles with vigour,
Warm, still, as blood;
Couriers of wine-bottle letters from the top of the hill.
